How the journal handles personal information on this site.
Information we collect
JPBS processes account identifiers, profile and affiliation details, ORCID information you authorize, manuscript files and metadata, editorial correspondence, peer-review records, security logs, and records needed to administer publication. We collect only information supplied by users, received from connected services with permission, or generated while operating the journal.
Purposes and lawful handling
Information is used to authenticate users, assess and publish manuscripts, select and communicate with reviewers, preserve the scholarly record, prevent misuse, resolve complaints, and meet applicable legal or research-integrity obligations. Access is limited by role and operational need.
Sharing and processors
JPBS may use contracted infrastructure, authentication, storage and email providers to operate the service. Editors may share submission material with reviewers and advisers under confidentiality duties. Personal information is not sold, and it is not disclosed for advertising.
Retention
Submission, decision, peer-review and publication records may be retained as part of the permanent editorial audit trail. Unfinished drafts and account information are retained while needed to provide the service, investigate misuse, or satisfy legal obligations. Security backups expire under provider retention schedules.
Your choices
You may review and update profile information from your account and may disconnect ORCID. Requests to access, correct, restrict or delete other personal information are assessed against applicable law and the journal’s need to preserve the integrity of the editorial and published record.
Security and international processing
JPBS applies role-based access, encrypted transport and controlled service credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in other countries subject to their contractual safeguards and applicable data-protection requirements.
Contact and changes
Privacy questions or complaints should be sent to the journal office through the published contact route. Material changes to this notice will be dated and published on this page; continued use after a change does not remove rights provided by applicable law.
